Show Synopsis

Hazard Heroes is performed by two professional actors who lead your students through an action-packed adventure, all while teaching about electrical safety.

Students and teachers will also have access to an e-learning package that includes games, quizzes and lesson plans for the classroom to reinforce concepts from the show.

Fiona Voltage, Lead Danger Inspector for the Electri City Safety Department, has been investigating several cases of electrical danger all over town. Her boss, Erma Grouch, thinks it might be the doing of Hazardous Hank. Erma tells Fiona all about how we use electricity every day and how important it is for homes, businesses and schools.

Later, Fiona meets Max Capacity who tells Fiona all about the different ways we can generate electricity. Whether its in a traditional power plant, or generated with renewable resources, electricity can also be stored at battery facilities like the one he works at. Max also tells Fiona about how electricity travels through transformers and substations to get to our homes, and he lets Fiona know that although electricity is very useful it can also be dangerous.

Next, Fiona travels to the local elementary school to talk to Carla the Custodian, where she learns all about how to be safe around electricity at school and at home.

Once back at work, Fiona runs into Hazardous Hank. As it turns out, Hazardous Hank isn’t responsible for all the dangerous electrical situations around town. He was just trying to make sure everyone was aware of the dangers of electricity so they could be safe. Relieved, Fiona asks Hank if he’d like to rejoin the Safety Department and become a Hazard Hero once again.
