Show Overview

This 35-minute show presents an online-accessible lesson in electrical science and safety. Featuring brand-new scripts specially catered toward elementary learning levels, three professionally filmed sketches (introduced by a live host) will lead classrooms on an interactive and educational superhero adventure.

Through puppetry and sing-along for grades K-2 and in-depth discussion questions for grades 3-6, students are prompted to consider how we can use electricity wisely after watching each sketch:

Scene 1:
Superhero Captain Wattage visits his friend Techie’s secret underground laboratory to learn how electricity is made and used. Little do Captain Wattage and Techie know, a villain lurks nearby!

Scene 2:
Captain Wattage meets with Larry the Lineman to get some valuable tips on identifying dangerous electrical situations. Let’s hope Captain Wattage learns all he needs to know before Vivica Voltage creeps in again.

Scene 3:
Safety superhero Captain Wattage faces supervillain Vivica Voltage in her top-secret, totally hidden, hardly even findable, suburban supervillain hideaway! Can he persuade her to embrace electrical safety at last?

Students and teachers will also have access to a Q&A with the host, and an exclusive e-learning package that includes e-books and graphic novels, games, quizzes and lesson plans for the classroom that reinforce concepts from the show.
