Enhancing Your Corporation’s Impact through STEM Education

Take It from an Expert

Recently the NTC Research Foundation had the pleasure of hosting Dr. Freeman Hrabowski, President of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, at our offices in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Dr. Hrabowski was appointed by President Barack Obama to chair the President’s Advisory Commission on Educational Excellence for African Americans. He was also named by Time magazine as one of the 100 Most Influential People in the World. Dr. Hrabowski and Ward Eames, President of the NTC Research Foundation, sat down for a studio interview, explored new STEM program ideas, and held an intimate luncheon for corporate and foundation leaders from the Twin Cities area. The topic of these events was the importance of STEM education in K-12 schools and how corporations, foundations and other organizations can get involved and make a difference in the lives of students in their communities.

In this video, Dr. Hrabowski and Mr. Eames discuss bringing STEM education to underserved communities, the disparity between women and men when it comes to STEM education and careers, unique ways of engaging kids with these vital subjects, and more. Watch the interview to learn more.
