Teaching students electricity safety

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) A lesson in electricity and how it can hurt you.

PPL continues to educate the youth on electric safety. Elementary students at Roberty Morris School in Scranton packed this multi-purpose room to see a show.

Dressed in character an actor and actress from the, National Theater for Children, relay a message of electric safety.

The performance showcasing the do’s and don’t. Like, don’t put anything electric in water, don’t touch fallen power lines, transformers, and in the home keep your space heaters three feet away from the wall.

PPL started this program in 2015. Their goal is to reach students in their service area. They have reached a total 62,000 students and their goal is 100,000.
