NTC implements award-winning residential programs for utilities, municipals and cooperatives. Our highly visible and scalable programs have demonstrated measurable ROI for our clients. By inspiring K-12 students and influencing energy-saving behavior change at the residential level, we help utility clients save energy with detailed kWh savings that can be reported to the PUC. Energy efficiency kit campaigns

NTC’s in-school programs are an effective way to deliver energy efficiency and safety kits to the households in your service territory. Our powerful in-school programs have caused utility customers to request close to 500,000 kits from our clients. These combined kit requests have saved a total of approximately 98 million kWh. Through detailed follow-up evaluations and kit installation metrics, NTC can claim savings on behalf of our clients through these programs.

EE Kit campaign

With NTC kit programs, students are first engaged through an exciting educational theatre performance. The live show teaches them the uses and benefits of the particular kit their family can receive. The students’ enthusiasm carries over to the home, resulting in opt-in participation by their parents.

NTC’s kit programs result in stellar EM&V installation rates. Rather than sending unsolicited kits home, we educate first and encourage students to engage their parents and influence them to opt in. This results in a higher number of kit components being installed and used than with other programs.

As part of this premium program, NTC also employs a school activation campaign throughout the school year to encourage parents to request a kit if they haven’t already done so. This year-round presence builds positive awareness and increases participation in kit programs, with measurable results.
