Show Synopsis
The LBC E-Team is a 45 minute video that consists of two actors with two goals. The first goal is to highlight what the environment is, what conservation is, how resources are wasted, and what you can do to conserve in the Long Beach community. The second goal is to make your students laugh so hard that they forget they’re learning.
The video consists of three comedic sketches that highlight water conservation, natural gas safety and efficiency, and the importance of recycling/waste reduction. These sketches are introduced, recapped, and concluded by two NTC actors.
In sketch #1, a Long Beach Eco Scout tries to teach a squirrel named Harvey the importance of recycling and waste reduction.
In sketch #2, astronauts Ellen Ripley and Tom Weaver learn about safety and conservation on their natural gas-powered space station, the Blue Flame.
In sketch #3, a Long Beach lifeguard encounters a “merperson” who takes water conservation very seriously.
The actors’ introductions and recaps include information about career pathways in Long Beach and specific ways to conserve and protect the environment in Long Beach specifically.
