The Safety Circus
Grades K-5 | Electricity & Electrical Safety
The Safety Circus is an action-packed, interactive performance that teaches students about electricity and electrical safety. Two professional actors bring the story to life, guiding students through an exciting adventure where they’ll learn important safety practices in a fun and memorable way. The hero, with the help of their team, discovers how to handle electricity safely to avoid accidents, all while ensuring the circus can pass its inspection and stay open.
Beyond the performance, students and teachers will receive an e-learning package filled with games, quizzes and lesson plans designed to reinforce the key concepts learned during the show. Through engaging sketches featuring a variety of entertaining characters, The Safety Circus teaches the following educational points:
- While energy and electricity are often used interchangeably, it’s important to know their distinct definitions and uses.
- Electricity is a specific type of energy that powers homes, cities and devices and must be generated through multiple methods to exist.
- Energy is wasted daily through personal habits, but can be conserved just as effectively by adjusting those behaviors.
- By exploring how students can take electrical safety into their own hands, they will have the ability to extend their knowledge to any new real-life situation.

Both actors were great! I loved how they had one student come up to help! I love how they asked the audience to participate. The adults thought the humor was funny! Bravo. Thank you for taking the leap to help kids learn about electricity!

Andrew and Holden were FANTASTIC! Our audience was fully engaged and on the edge of their seats! There was great humor intertwined for our adults as well. Our Principal was out of the building for the first time this year for a training. However, her daughter was one of the kindergarten students in the audience and was able to tell her mother all about electrical safety – including all of the big buzz words taught during the program. Hats off to Holden and Andrew on a JOB WELL DONE! Special thanks to MN Power for sponsoring this great learning opportunity for our young learners!
