Your Planet, Your Future
Energy Efficiency

Grades 9-12

45 Minutes
Show Synopsis
Your Planet, Your Future is performed by two professional actors who encourage high school students to consider their effect on the environment. Through improv and interactive discussion, your students will dive further into the topics of resources and energy conservation.
Picture “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” meets a “TED Talk”- style lecture – performed live for grades 9-12.
The first two segments of the 45-minute presentation involve audience participation through sketch comedy and trivia, exploring the science behind energy-saving methods and what it means to reduce your carbon footprint. And then? Time to take notes. The last segment is reserved for a thoughtful, fact-filled dialogue about the complexities of global climate change and how it relates to industries and economies. With engaging material that’s part spontaneous and part structured, the program presents a fresh way to focus on the importance of energy efficiency.
Along with the in-school assembly, digital access to a comprehensive energy efficiency handbook is provided to expand upon the educational content of the program. Your Planet, Your Future also offers the opportunity for your students (and staff) to save energy at home by providing Energy Kits that contain items to conserve electricity and water.
