NTC’s Professional Educators Network (PEN) was created to serve as a resource for teachers, educators, schools and school administrators to find and share useful information as well as provide an opportunity and a platform to post comments, opinions, tips and educational/curriculum-related links. We welcome your insight as we share the experience of PEN.
We also value the input and feedback of educators like yourself and want to hear what you think of our programs. When you become a member of NTC’s Professional Educators Network, you will join a dedicated group of educators and administrators committed to providing the best educational experiences for their students.
Free membership benefits include:
- An arts guide on the basics of theatre for you and your students
- Early notification when programs are touring in your area
- Exclusive articles about innovative teaching tools and strategies, pedagogical methods, NTC’s role in fostering education and other subjects designed specifically for an audience of teachers, educators and administrators
- Early access to games and activities on NTCplayworks.com
- A platform to provide ideas, comments and feedback to our creative team
- An ability to communicate with NTC and fellow educators year-round
NTC is a premium provider of educational programming with operations in the U.S., Australia and New Zealand. We work directly with schools on behalf of sponsors to promote beneficial behaviors and life skills to students in grades K-12 on a local, regional and national level.
NTC’s award-winning educational programs are provided free for schools and include live performances and printed educational materials along with digital games and activities. We present topics such as energy conservation, safety, financial literacy, STEM, water and environmental stewardship, and health and social responsibility in ways that engage and empower students. In doing so, we aim to make a difference in the lives of teachers, students and their families. Since 1978, NTC has formed connections and helped develop relationships between thousands of schools and corporations, non-profits and governmental organizations. Our value is not just the live interactive theatre program and educational materials, but also the ability to change the lives and trajectories of students, mobilize parents and entire families with beneficial socially minded messages that can help cultivate community-wide engagement and behavior change.
As an educational resource for schools, NTC’s educational materials for our live programs include activities that emphasize the Four Cs of 21st Century Education Skills – Collaboration, Communication, Creativity and Critical Thinking. In addition, all of our programs are aligned with state educational standards as well as the Next Generation Science Standards.
